Victoria Theatre Association’s Education & Engagement Department is seeking professional Teaching Artists in a variety of disciplines including visual arts, theatre, dance, and music for contracted services in several successful community education and engagement programs including:

  • Speak Up – Speak Out Anti-Bullying Workshops: The Speak Up – Speak Out interactive workshops are designed to give young people the confidence to stand up to bullying in their lives. We understand that bullying takes place in many environments- not just school. Accordingly, the goal of these workshops is to give youth effective tools they can incorporate into their lives no matter where they encounter bullying. Speak Up – Speak Out is part of an on-going intervention program at the Montgomery County Juvenile Court.
  • Art F.O.R.C.E.™: Our Art F.O.R.C.E.™ program works to reduce the stresses of military families by focusing on Family, Oasis, Relationships, Creativity, and Empowerment. By using well-researched and documented meditative art therapy techniques to address the stresses encountered by military families, Art F.O.R.C.E.™ leads to improved social interaction, the creation of coping mechanisms that can be utilized in daily life, unique creative outlets, and opportunities to focus on oasis.
