We also participate in Hometown Heroes™, a year-long tribute to the men and women from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the Springfield Air National Guard Base who safeguard and support our nation’s defense. We celebrate their ongoing contributions to the Dayton region’s economy and quality of life that make living and working here so enjoyable! Victoria Theatre Association and the Dayton Development Coalition are excited to continue our partnership with the 2017-2018 Hometown Heroes™ program that the region has so generously supported for more than a decade.
Each year, Victoria Theatre Association partners with Shango: Center for the Study of African American Art and Culture, and Willis “Bing” Davis, exhibit curator and director of EbonNia Gallery, to display an exhibit of art by local African-American artists inside the Schuster Center. This year, as the city of Dayton joins the nation in commemorating the 50th anniversary of the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the KING/DUNBAR PROJECT was designed to celebrate the life and work of Dr. King through the literary voice of Dayton poet, Paul Laurence Dunbar.Learn More
Each year, Victoria Theatre Association’s Education & Engagement team offers one or more in-depth education projects at no charge to participating students and teachers. Each project is built around a particular performance and theme and creates community engagement with the arts.Learn More
