Based On The Book By Lucy Maud Montgomery

When you imagine, sometimes you find what you need. When you imagine, you find a home. Matthew Cuthbert and his sister Marilla need a boy to help with the chores around their farm on Prince Edward Island. They are not expecting Anne Shirley, a vivacious orphan with a wild imagination and a breathless fascination to find a place she can call home. ArtsPower’s heart-warming musical, based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s beloved novels, follows Anne on her unlikely journey to find the family she’s always wanted. Produced by ArtsPower National Touring Theatre.

Workshop

Students become literary and theatre critics in this fun-filled workshop. Writing a review of the play, students will consider these questions: How does a story played live in a theatre differ from a story created in the movies? Do the movies have conventions the way the theatre does? What was life like for young students in 1904 compared to 2016?

Each one-hour workshop is $100 and is limited to 25 students. Workshops are customizable, available year-round, and able to travel to your school for an additional fee.

If you are interested in scheduling a workshop, or would like more information, please call 937-228-7591, ext. 3039.
