Wildlife Filmmaker & Photographer

Photographer BERTIE GREGORY specializes in intimate shots of animals in their natural environment, whether that’s a frigid Vancouver beach or the streets of London. In fact, it’s in those spaces where nature and humanity coexist that he thrives – a result, no doubt, of his teenage years chasing urban swans and pike with his camera. From up-close footage of a leopard stalking through Mumbai to evocative portraits of Vancouver’s elusive coastal wolf, he has mastered the art of capturing what binds animal and human together.

Presented in partnership with Five Rivers MetroParks.

Book Drive!

Victoria Theatre Association — in partnership with Project READTeradata Cares, and City Day Community School — is pleased to announce the READ ACROSS AMERICA BOOK DRIVE. As further illustration of our commitment to education and to quality of life in our community, VTA will be collecting new or gently used books for grades PreK-8. VTA hopes to collect a book for every seat in the Victoria Theatre — 1,154 books! Follow us on Facebook (@VictoriaTheatreAssociation), Instagram (@VTADayton) and Twitter (@VictoriaTheatre) to see how the theatre fills up with books!

Collection bins will be located at the Schuster Center, Victoria Theatre, and Teradata beginning January 20 with VTA’s Morris Furniture Co. Family Series presentation of MR. POPPER’S PENGUINS at the Victoria Theatre. On March 2, some of the books collected will be delivered to City Day Community School with each student going home with a book of their very own. Additional books will be donated to Project READ.
