A long & varied musical career.

RODNEY CROWELL has a rich and storied past. His recording career began back in 1978 and has only grown in sophistication and power in recent years. His fiercely lyrical and personal songwriting has attracted the attention of everyone from Bob Seger (who famously covered “Shame on the Moon”) to Keith Urban (who had a number-one hit with “Making Memories of Us”), as well as Alan Jackson, LeeAnn Womack and Tim McGraw. Although best known as a songwriter and alternative country artist, Crowell enjoyed mainstream popularity during the late 1980s and early 1990s, but produced some of his most acclaimed work after the turn of the millennium. He was inducted in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Music City Walk of Fame. In 2014, Crowell won his second Grammy Award for Best Americana Album, with Old Yellow Moon, with EmmyLou Harris. His latest album, Close Ties, includes a trio with ex-wife Roseanne Cash and John Paul White (of The Civil Wars), “It Ain’t Over Yet,” which was nominated at the 60th Grammy Awards for Best American Roots Song.
